What's Inverter technology (DC) ?

The Inverter technology (DC) is the latest evolution of technology concerning the electro motors of the compressors. An Inverter is used to control the speed of the compressor motor, so as to continuously regulate the temperature. The drive converts the incoming AC current to DC and then through a modulation in an electrical inverter produces a current of the desired frequency. The inverter dc air conditioning unit has increased efficiency in contraction to traditional air conditioners, extended life of their parts, and the sharp fluctuations in the load are eliminated. This makes the inverter DC A/C units quieter, with lower operating costs and with less broke downs.

What's Advantages Of Inverter DC Air Conditioner?

The DC Air Conditioner is a direct current frequency conversion control system and the corresponding DC variable frequency compressor air conditioner. The energy-saving effect is the strongest, and the temperature control technology is more precise.

The working principle of the AC inverter air conditioner is that frequency conversion technology is a technology that changes the frequency of the power supply through the frequency converter and changes the speed of the compressor. The converter is converted to DC through the converter in the frequency converter, and then the DC to AC transformation is carried out through the inverter in the inverter, so the frequency and amplitude of the output voltage can be changed to control the speed of the AC motor. When the indoor rapid cooling or rapid heating, the indoor air conditioning load increases, the compressor speed speeds up, the refrigerating volume increases proportionately. On the contrary, when the indoor air conditioning load is reduced, the compressor operates normally or decelerates.

 

How does RIGID DC Air Conditioner Work?

The volume of cooling required by an air conditioning unit varies depending upon the outdoor temperature and the amount of heat in the room.

When the cooling effect needs to be amplified, the compressor will operate at a higher speed and will upsurge the amount of refrigerant flow.

On the contrary, during moderate outside temperatures for example, when the cooling capacity needs to be reduced, the compressor will run at a low speed and will decrease the amount of refrigerant flow.

When the inverter air conditioner is switched on, the compressor operates at a high speed in order to cool the area rapidly. As room temperature approaches the desired temperature, the compressor slows down, maintaining a constant temperature. Any spontaneous fluctuation in the room temperature will be detected and promptly adjusted to bring the room temperature back to the set temperature.

In short, it automatically adjusts its capacity based on the requirements of the room, thus drawing much less power and consuming lesser units of electricity.

 

 

Can AC Run On RIGID Micro DC Aircon?

Short answer: No, most AC devices could not run off DC. … If your input circuit is a diode rectifier followed by capacitors, after which everything in the system is expecting DC, then you should be able to feed DC into the circuit.

 

How many batteries need to power DC Air Conditioner HS23P?

The number of batteries will depend on the DC input requirement of the inverter. Usually, a 2kW inverter will have a 24v DC input requirement. So you will need two 12v batteries. Some models use 48V DC, in which case you will need four 12V batteries.

How to Choose Battery to Run DC Air Conditioner?

The number of batteries do not completely depend on the size of the inverter alone, though it has some part to play there. The number of batteries or the size/ capacity of batteries is also driven by the length of backup you need. It also depends on the input voltage your inverter needs.

Therefore the general approach for designing an inverter solution for your requirement would be to first confirm your power and energy requirements. Add up all your loads that you plan to run on your inverter simultaneously, this will give you the power requirements in Watts that your inverter needs to deliver.

Once you chose the inverter brand and model, check the input voltage this inverter needs, it could be 12v, 24v, 48v, 96v, 120v etc. One Lead-Acid battery (especially used for domestic inverters) will give you 12 volts. So for example, if your inverter needs 48v input, then you need four of these batteries connected in series, its that simple.

Then define how long your inverter needs to support your power outage, 1 hr, 2 hrs or 12 hrs etc. This will give you Watt-Hours (Units) of electrical energy you need to store in your battery system.

For example, let’s say you need 8 hours of backup for your 5000 watts (5 KW) simultaneous load, and input voltage needed for your inverter is 48 volts. You can then calculate the current your battery system needs to supply in the following way.

Volt Amperes needed VA = Watts / Power factor, if lets say expected power factor for your load is 0.8 then your VA needed is = 5000 W/ 0.8 = 6250 VA.

Since your battery system provides 48 volts, you can calculate the current requirement from your batteries = 6250 VA / 48 V = 130.2 Amperes. This is an important factor in choosing your battery system, your batteries need to be able to supply more than 130 Amperes continuously, and obviously you need to consider some factor of safety here, you may decide to choose batteries that can supply 200 Amperes continuously without damaging themselves.

Next is energy storage needed, i.e. Ampere-Hours. You expect your battery system to store130 Amperes *8 Hours = 1040 Ampere-Hours of total storage needed. Since you have 4 batteries, each battery needs to provide = 1040 Ampere-Hours / 4 = 260 AH per battery.

Or alternatively you may choose to buy 8 batteries of 130 AH size each which will give you 8 hours of backup. You may choose to connect 4 batteries each in series into two parallel rows to achieve 1040 Ampere-Hours of total storage and 48 Volts. Please note if you connect batteries in two parallel rows, the maximum current requirement from each row/battery could be reduced from 200 Amperes calculated above to 100 Amperes per row /battery.
